Welcome to worship at FUMC! We love to gather together to praise our amazing God. Each week, our clergy team shares biblical and topical messages that meaningfully connect faith to everyday life.
Our worship features familiar hymns as well as contemporary worship songs reimagined through an acoustic lens. We blend musical traditions while maintaining an intimate, unplugged sound, drawing on the diverse gifts of our congregation. Each service honors tradition while exploring fresh ways to create meaningful spaces for connection and reflection. And don't worry about perfect pitch—we want your voice in the mix too, so bring your enthusiasm and sing along with us! If you’d like to check us out first online our archived services are available 24/7.
To help everyone engage in worship, we project easily visible words on screens, offer the ‘Listen Everywhere’ hearing assist system, and some of our chairs have arms for added support.
Our gatherings are around an hour long.
Where Should I Park?
Parking is available in our lot between 9th and 10th streets west of the building, at the City of Holland parking garage on 9th street, and on the street on 10th.
What should I Expect Inside?
Please enter the building at Entrance A. Once inside, we invite you to walk through the doors and into the worship center. Here, you can grab a cup of coffee and find a seat. Our sanctuary offers more than just traditional row seating! We provide high-top and low tables for families with young children, for those who prefer a more casual worship experience, or anyone who might benefit from a different arrangement. Feel free to choose the seating that helps you engage most fully in worship—we're just happy to have you join us!

What should I wear?
Be comfortable. Be yourself. Some come dressed up, and some are more casual. It is all up to you!

What About Children?
Simply put - kids are a welcome and joyful part of worship! We like their energy, and we appreciate it when they also squeal with joy. During worship, kids are entirely welcome to attend with their families.
Families are also welcome to bring their children ages 0-5 to the Early Childhood Center during worship. There, they will receive a Bible lesson, have time to play, and enjoy a snack. If you are a nursing parent, the Early Childhood Center is open if you want a less public place to nurse a baby or change a diaper. If you want to know more, visit ahead of time, or would like someone to greet you and your family on a Sunday morning, don't hesitate to contact our Children's Ministry Director, Jill DeJonge, at Jill@fumcholland.org.
